Services we provide

What Absolute ABA UK offer?

Absolute ABA UK is providing individualised ABA therapy (evidence based) to children with Autism or with other additional needs (from 2-16 years of age). The goal for early intervention is to maximize the potential of your child: What does this mean? In a nutshell – to help your child understand the world around them, so they’re as independent as possible, and feel more comfortable in it as they grow up.  We have served people on the spectrum and with other additional needs across the country, providing services both remotely (online) and directly (in person). Depending on the child's individual needs, ABA therapy can be provided within the home, nursery, school or within the wider community. Absolute ABA UK’s goal is to provide ABA Services tailored to everyone's budget.  We offer both Supervision and Behaviour Therapists (tutors) packages to our clients. Please see our "meet the team section" for a list of a few of our current staff members.

We believe ABA therapy should be accessible to everyone.  No matter how or where we work:

  • We bring care, patience, respect, and empathy when working with your child to help them progress.
  • We’re acutely aware that the circumstance for every family is different. We do our best to help you access our services regardless.

These are the steps taken once you contact Absolute ABA UK (via our contact me link):

1) Assessments and observations of your child will be conducted and an individualised ABA program will be developed from their assessment results. We use arrange of assessment tools (but not limited to):

  • VB- MAPP- Verbal Behaviour Milestones Assessment and Placement Programme, Sundberg, M., 2008.
  • ABLLS-R: The Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills- Revisited, Partington, J.W., 2006.
  • AFLS- The Assessment of Functional Living Skills, Partington, J.W., Mueler, M.M.
  • PEAK Relational Training System, M.R Dixon 2014.

The assessment used will depend on each child's needs. We will also gather an medical history and any reports you have, to ensure we have as much information as possible to support your child effectively.

2) Parent/ staff training will be undertaken this is both remotely and in person. which covers both practical and theory used within ABA. This is our own training package we have developed throughout the years.

3) The first workshop will then be allocated and your child's individual programs implemented ( based on the assessment results) and training provided.

4) Absolute ABA UK will then keep in close contact with your program and will visit on a monthly basis.  Please note this may vary due to how many hours of ABA is undertaken each week, your child's individual needs and your families budget.

Workshops (team meetings)

These are where the whole team supporting your child will be present. How these workshops with Absolute ABA UK typically run are as follows:

  •  Brief discussion with the ABA team/and your family to talk through any concerns anyone may have since the previous visit.
  •  Assess the collated data and review the upcoming program.
  •  All current programs running will be split across the tutor team and reviewed.  This allows us to actively monitor progress and action any required changes.
  • Training and amendments to targets provided where needed.
  •  Once the programs have been completed, a final discussion with the team takes place for any further concerns, comments or questions.
  • Discuss any new programs that will be put in place and demonstrate with the team how to implement them correctly.
  • Schools/day-care setting observations will be included (where appropriate)  within the workshop hours (or allocated on a separate day) to monitor progress and support staff within this setting etc.
  • a report send after each workshop which covers areas discussed within the workshop.

These allocated workshop sessions will include: ongoing training: program development and adaptation (where needed); implementation of new programs and monitoring of progress. Workshops typically run between 3/4 hours every 4-6 weeks (depending on the amount of hours of ABA undertaken weekly). ABA Therapy can be delivered in a variety of ways. ABA programs can be parent led, run by experienced Behaviour Technicians (ABA tutors), and staff within nursery/ school settings (with training provided).

Telehealth Consultancy

We at Absolute ABA UK also offer Telehealth Consultancy too (remote consultancy online). This can help support families in rural remote areas, keep costings down, and much more). This is assessed on a client by client basis. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, lots of programs had to revert to remote consultancy and due to this many families now liked this set up.

Some families like to now mix between both Face To Face Consultancy and Telehealth. Telehealth can support keeping your BCBA in more regular contact (for example your allocated monthly hours can be spread from once a month to weekly instead).

Telehealth has a range of benefits that helps us support more families. These include but not limited to:

  • available nationwide, as we can helping more families, which maybe not possible due to their locations.
  • Cost effective alternative
  • Consistent support provided ( for example hours can be spread weekly instead of monthly) allowing us to provide regular support and guidance.
  • Flexible sessions available.

Telehealth is considered on a client by client basis.  For example: individuals with severe needs or challenging behaviours, Face to Face should be conducted due to these circumstances. Telehealth has been around for many years (many other health professions use it too) but, is it now more popular within the reason years.

Evaluation Only (one off assessment)

This is for families that just want an idea about their child’s strength’s and need’s, without committing to an ongoing program.

Short term consultancy

Some children do not require an ongoing ABA program but need a short term intervention to address specific issues or problems that the child may have.

We attend meetings with schools and Local Authorities about :Educational Plan (IEP) annual review meetings, EHC plans, Tribunals and other meetings relating to the ABA provisions we provide your child.

ABA may benefit your child if they:

  • Have an ASD diagnosis or other additional needs and are struggling to meet their developmental milestones.
  • Has delays in language and communication
  • Has behaviours that are interfering with their learning or restrictive behaviour patterns.
  • Finds it difficult to make friends or socially engage.

  • Struggles with play skills.
  • Needs support with independence (toileting, eating, dressing etc)
